About the Journal
GEM (Georgian Education Mine) is a scholarly initiative of St. George's College Aruvithura. It is an interdisciplinary, international, and peer-reviewed open access journal (ISSN 2393-9850) with a regular publication schedule, hosted on a secure, institutionally backed domain.
Each submission undergoes a transparent single-blind peer-review process. The journal is committed to research integrity, academic rigour, and the free dissemination of knowledge — with no publication fee. Past issues are archived for perpetual access. GEM aims to contribute meaningfully to research across disciplines, with a special focus on science, social science, and technology.
Scope
GEM Journal is an interdisciplinary platform that welcomes scholarly contributions from diverse fields. Our aim is to foster intellectual dialogue and innovation by bringing together research from various disciplines. We believe that knowledge is interconnected, and our journal reflects this belief. We encourage authors to submit original research, review articles, and short communications.

We welcome scholarly contributions to GEM Journal. Submissions may be in Microsoft Word or LaTeX format. Please ensure the document is correctly formatted and readable. The paper must represent original work not previously published, written in clear and concise English. All figures and tables should be embedded at appropriate points, and references must follow APA format.
Plagiarism Policy
GEM Journal is committed to publishing original, high-quality research. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Papers found to contain plagiarised content will be rejected immediately. Authors must ensure proper citation of all sources and maintain academic integrity throughout their manuscript.
Review Process
GEM Journal follows a Single-Blind Review process. Manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial team for scope, originality, and quality. Suitable manuscripts are then forwarded to expert reviewers, whose identities remain anonymous to the authors. Final publication decisions are based on reviewer feedback and editorial judgement.
Research Ethics and AI Policy
Authors must adhere to established ethical standards, including full disclosure of conflicts of interest, proper citation of sources, and avoidance of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts exceeding a 10% similarity index (excluding references) may be rejected.
GEM Journal acknowledges the emerging role of AI tools in research but discourages their use for writing substantial portions of manuscripts. Where AI assistance is used, authors must disclose the nature and extent of such assistance in a separate note at the end of the manuscript.
Archival Policy
GEM Journal maintains a publicly accessible digital archive of all past issues on its official website. All published articles are preserved in PDF format and organised issue-wise in the Archives section. Institutional copies are also retained within the college library and digital repository. Integration with LOCKSS and institutional repositories is planned for long-term preservation.
